The Circle of Security Parenting™ Program aims to promote secure parent-child relationships.

Circle of Security is based on decades of research on strengthening and supporting parent-child relationships and attachment. Secure attachment with caregivers underpins healthy development for young children.

WHY CIRCLE OF SECURITY

This program provides a new way of understanding your child’s needs. It teaches parents to recognise the needs of their child, to understand their own emotional responses and challenges they face in parenting, and to meet their child’s needs more often.

The Circle of Security Parenting Program is suited to you if are a parent or caregiver of children under 8 years old and you want to:

  • Build a warmer and more nurturing relationship with your child.

  • Foster your child’s ability to manage their emotions.

  • Learn how to recognise your child’s needs and read their cues accurately.

  • Know how to repair your relationship during difficult times.

  • Gain confidence in parenting.

  • Reflect on your own relationships and parenting style.

“Secure attachment relationships with caregivers are protective for young children. They set the foundation for social competence and promote effective functioning of the emotion regulation and stress response systems”
