FAQs

What should I expect from Career and Personal Development Coaching?

Career coaching begins with you completing carefully selected questionnaires. This will help your psychologist gain a deep understanding of the person you are. You will then attend a professional meeting (face-to-face or online) with your coach, so you can begin to learn about yourself and start goal-setting. Then begins your journey through three coaching sessions to start the important work towards achieving your goals.

What is the purpose of a Career and Personal Development Assessment?

Our Career and Personal Development Assessment aims to help define your personal and occupational strengths. Career assessment is a way to learn more about how well different careers might suit you. The variety of questionnaires we have carefully selected focus on specific areas such as skills, interests, and values.

What does a Personal Development coach do?

A personal development coach, sometimes referred to as a life coach, is a professional who creates and oversees strategies that help people achieve goals. Personal development coaches use psychological and behavioural insights to make recommendations for individuals striving to succeed in a certain area of life.

What will I leave a Career and Personal Development Assessment with?

After taking an honest look at who you are and what you want, you can find yourself, re-invent yourself, or establish your vision of your future career. Most importantly, we will help you identify what you need to do to get there.

Does your clinic see coaching clients on the weekends?

Yes. Our Career and Personal Development Coach is available on Saturdays.

I’m not sure if I should start with the assessment alone or the package including coaching. How do I decide?

Our Personal Strengths Insights Assessment will give you a deep insight into your character strengths, emotional intelligence and mindset. We recommend starting with the assessment on its own if you have a general interest in personal development and/or a broad question about what pathways and challenges might suit you. If you have more specific decisions to make, or a particular pathway you would like to start moving towards, we recommend combining this with coaching by choosing the package – our Personal Strengths Insights Assessment and Coaching.
